The serious situation remains unchanged, in that workers still have to cool nuclear fuel with water at the melted-down No.1 to No.3 units of the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant.    For your information, this blog continues to record temperatures measured at the lower part of the pressure vessel of each unit.  Temperatures between May 04 and May 10 are posted on the following page.(Source: TEPCO)

The following are the results of observations during the Apr.21 week.

On Apr.21,Cs-137 density was found to be 6.3 Bq/L in the sumples collected 30 meters of the Unit 5-6 outlets. On Apr.25,Cs-137 density was found to be 1.4 Bq/L in the sumples collected 30 meters north of the Unit 5-6 outlets. On the other five days,no noticeable amount of radioactive iodine or cesium was detected from sea water near the outlets of the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant. The following are the results of observations during the Mar.31 week.

On Apr. 1,Cs-137 density was found to be 1.1 Bq/L in the sumples collected 30 meters north of the 5-6 outlets. On the other six days,no noticeable amount of radioactive iodine or cesium was detected from sea water near the outlets of the Fukushhima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant.  Radiological dose in the air of the plant site, meaured yesterday,is posted on the following page.
